Klint Kubiak confrims Las Vegas Raiders head coach role after Super Bowl 60 win as Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator

Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak has essentially confirmed he will be the next Las Vegas Raiders head coach following his side's Super Bowl 60 win over the New England Patriots.

The Raiders have yet to confirm the hire, but it has widely been reported that the 10th and final head coaching vacancy of the offseason will be filled by Kubiak.

During an on-field interview following Seattle's 29-13 victory over New England at Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara, Kubia told NFL Network: "You guys know I'm going to Las Vegas.

"I'm fired up about it. Hell yeah, I'm going. Of course, I'm going."

Kubiak is the son of former Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak, who led Denver to the Super Bowl 50 title 10 years ago, and who also won three further rings as an assistant coach through his career.

Klint Kubiak's stock has risen substantially after one season as offensive coordinator in Seattle, where he delivered the third-ranked scoring offense (28.4 per game) and eighth in yards (351.4 per game) during the 2025 regular season.

"Klint's the man. He's a great person and a really smart guy... I think he's going to do great things in Vegas," said Seattle QB Sam Darnold, whose Super Bowl 60 triumph clinched a remarkable career turnaround from being discarded by both the New York Jets and Carolina Panthers, to being a career backup before leading both the Minnesota Vikings and Seahawks to 14-win seasons the last two years.

Seahawks star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba said of his soon-to-be-departing offensive coordinator: "Man, they [the Raiders] are getting someone special, someone who knows the game, someone who's going to do whatever it takes to win.

"He's an unbelievable coach. I was honoured to play with him this year. Just for him to get to know me, get to know what I was like as a player and person, it's something special and something I don't take for granted.

"Best of luck to him. We're going to miss him."

The 38-year-old Kubiak is set to be the Raiders' third head coach in the last three seasons and fifth full-time leader since making the move from Oakland to Las Vegas in 2020.

Kubiak would succeed former Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, who went 3-14 in his one season in Las Vegas after a storied run with Seattle from 2010 to 2023 that included two Super Bowl appearances and one championship.

Following their dismal 2025 season, the Raiders hold the No 1 pick in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft and are expected to select Indiana quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza.

The Raiders haven't won a playoff game since their last Super Bowl appearance in the 2002 season, making the postseason just twice since, and most recently for the 2021 season.

Owner Mark Davis, frustrated at the lack of success, put the head coaching search in the hands of minority owner Tom Brady and general manager John Spytek.
